Budgies are the most popular parrot in the world. Wow! A native of Australia the word "Budgerigar" means "good things to eat." At Mt Rushmore Birds we don't Eat them; we raise and love them. They are fabulous talkers! We can thank the British Show Bird People for producing a genetic line of parakeets that is much larger than the common pet parakeet (American) available in pet stores today. English Budgies are good starter birds and great for children. Come see the ones that we're weaning now.
